Adding your own foods
Add foods that are missing from the library, with nutritional values per 100 g, and use them in meals and recipes.
Updated 15.10.2026
When do you need this?
You add your own foods when:
- the food isn't in the Norwegian food composition table
- the client uses a specific product or brand you want to log accurately
- you want fixed "standard items", for example particular protein bars, sauces or ready meals
Two ways to add foods
- Directly in the meal plan while you're working on a client (quickest)
- Through the library (foods/recipes) in the menu on the left
The video shows the option directly in the meal plan.
Create a new food
- Tap the plus (+) inside the meal plan or the food picker
- Fill in the information about the new food
Example: product given per item
If the packet says one bar is 52 g and the nutritional content is given per bar, you need to convert it to per 100 g.
A simple rule of thumb: 52 g is roughly half of 100 g, so double the values to get roughly per 100 g. For an exact result, multiply by 100 divided by 52.
Fill in the fields correctly
When you create the food, make sure you get these right:
- Name (e.g. "RX Bar")
- Calories and macros per 100 g
- protein
- carbohydrates
- fat
- Unit
- e.g. "pcs" if it's a bar or a single item
- Size per unit
- e.g. 52 g per pc
- Allergens (optional, but useful)
- e.g. nuts, eggs
Find the food and use it in the plan
Once you've saved:
- Search for the food in the food list (use a filter if needed)
- Add it:
- to a meal, or
- as an ingredient in a recipe
