Logging in the app

How the client logs a session: goals and previous values, RIR, rest timers, changing exercises, self-directed training, and what happens when the session is completed.

4 min read Updated 22.10.2026

Starting a session

  • Tap today's session on Home, or select a programme and session under Training. If the client has several active programmes, they can switch between them by tapping the programme title.
  • In the preview, the client can tap an exercise to view instructions, video, and history.
  • Tap Start.

Fields per set

  • Goal: What you have set in the programme (reps or time, and intensity such as RiR, RPE, or percentage). There is no separate weight field in the programme; write the suggested weight in the exercise note.
  • Weight and Reps: The client fills these in. If the client taps an empty field, both are populated with the values from the previous session (or the goal), ensuring no fields are accidentally left empty.
  • RiR (reps in reserve): A separate field next to reps, with its own keyboard and color coding.
  • Fill in retrieves the previous session's values for the entire exercise. Skip removes a set. The client can also add extra sets.

Rest timer

  • Starts automatically after a set, based on the rest period you have set in the programme. The client can adjust it by +/− 15 seconds or pause it.
  • The app provides sound and push notifications when the break is over, even with the screen off.
  • The manual timer (for time-based exercises) has a 3-second countdown and a beep at the end.
  • In supersets and circuits, Next jumps to the next exercise in the group.

Changing an exercise

  • The client can change an exercise during the session and will see a preview before the change is confirmed.
  • If you have added alternative exercises to the exercise (not per session), these are displayed first.
  • The change applies only to that session; your programme remains unchanged.

Cardio sessions

Cardio exercises are logged with duration and distance. The app always shows duration and distance, regardless of the load unit (km/h, heart rate) you chose in the programme. Set the session type to Cardio for the session to count towards cardio graphs.

Finishing a session

  • Finish saves the session as completed. The client answers questions regarding intensity, satisfaction, and recovery (1–10) and can write a note. You can see the answers in the session dialogue and under Recent sessions.
  • Save and close saves the session without completing it, so the client can continue later.
  • The client can cancel a started session without saving, and edit time or values in the summary afterwards.

Independent training without a plan

Clients can log independent training even if it is not part of a programme session. This appears on the client card but does not count as adherence to the programme. If you want independent training to appear correctly in statistics, add empty sessions titled “Independent strength” and “Independent cardio” to the programme with the correct session type.

Frequently asked questions from clients

  • “My values disappeared”: Was the session completed, or saved and closed? Check the summary under Training.
  • “The exercises are in a different order than what I see”: Ask the client to update the app. If the issue persists, send the trainer name, client name, programme, and session details to support.
  • “I don't see the previous weight”: Refer to the explanation of “previous” above.
  • “The timer doesn't alert me”: Check the notification settings on the phone.
