Track client progress

Where the data comes from, where you find it, and how to use forms, data points, progression, and food logs for follow-ups.

Where the data comes from

  • Training: each completed session provides sets, reps, weight, volume, personal bests, and the client's feedback on intensity, satisfaction, and recovery (1–10). Sessions must be scheduled for compliance to be tracked.
  • Nutrition: the meal log provides calories and macros per day and week compared to daily targets. Requires an active meal plan.
  • Forms: check-ins provide weight, measurements, body fat, sleep, stress, energy, pain, and photos, provided the questions are linked to data points.
  • Phone and watch: steps, sleep, and weight are retrieved automatically once the client has enabled synchronization with Apple Health or Health Connect. Garmin, Polar, Strava, and Apple Watch are not supported directly.

Set up data collection

  1. Create a check-in form with the questions you want to track, and link each numerical question to a data point. Enable automatic copying on the form if you want to avoid approving each answer manually. See Forms.

  2. Link the form to the product or set it up with a fixed day and time for the client, so they receive a reminder in the app.

  3. Ask the client to grant Health access the first time they open the app, or enable synchronization later under More → Settings in the app.

  4. Assign the client an active meal plan if you want to track nutrition; a macro-based plan is sufficient for simple logging.

Where to find data on the client card

  • Summary: status of the active programme, meal plan, and nutrition in one view.
  • Training: compliance, volume, PBs, comparison of sessions, and the client's feedback and notes after each session under Recent sessions.
  • Nutrition → Meal log overview: weekly summary with days on target, averages, and deviations from the previous week. Red = more than approx. 10% outside target.
  • Reports: all submitted forms, with the option to edit and copy data to data points.
  • Data points: raw data, regardless of source. You can also enter values manually here.
  • Progression: the graphs. See below.

Progression tab

  • Four areas: Activity (sessions, volume, steps), Nutrition, Lifestyle (weight, sleep), and Photos.
  • The main figure is the average for the last 7 days; the subtitle shows the change compared to the previous 7 days.
  • Choose 6, 12, 26, or 52 weeks. At 1 week, daily points are shown; from 4 weeks onwards, the weekly average of logged days is displayed. Weight shows the last measurement per day.
  • All history is displayed, not just the active programme. Only sessions marked as cardio are included in the cardio graphs, so ensure the correct session type is set.
  • In the app, the client can see steps, sleep, and weight under More → Lifestyle, and the development for each exercise under History on the specific exercise. See Client app: Resources, appointments, check-ins, and more.

When numbers are missing

  1. Empty in Progression: has anything been logged in that period? The graphs require consistent logging, and form data must be copied to data points.

  2. Weight from form is not displayed: was Copy to data points selected, or is automatic copying enabled? Was the number entered with a period?

  3. Steps and sleep are missing: check that synchronization is enabled in the app and that the app has permissions. On iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → PT Pro. On Android: via Health Connect.

  4. Compliance shows 0%: sessions are not scheduled on specific days, or the client is logging self-training instead of the sessions in the programme.

  5. Running sessions are missing in the cardio graph: the session is categorized as strength. Change the session type.
